Marsden Family Enter County The Year 1871

James and May Marsden were the parents of Neely Marsden, born in Parker County and settled in Palo Pinto County in 1871.

October 3, 1897 he married Cora Snider, daughter of T. A. and Emma Snider.  She came with her family to Texas when she was 7 years old.  They lived at Gordon and Mr. Marsden is buried there.

Mrs. Marsden still lives at Lone Camp and is a member of the Church of Christ.  Descendants 11 children, Vernon, Elbert, Lee and Alvin Marsden, and Mrs. Dorothy Jones, all of Lone Camp; Travis and Marcus Marsden of Mineral Wells; Mrs. Ona Mitchell of Lubbock; Mrs. Jake Lowe of Houston; Mrs. J. B. Sanders, Pluxey and J. C. Marsden, all of California, and 29 grandchildren, and 33 great-grandchildren.
