Lewis Charles Link, born March 17, 1864, in Bunker Hill, Illinois, came to Palo Pinto County in 1878, and settled near where Graford now is and stayed for several years, with his parents.  He left here, living in other parts of Texas, returned to his county in 1904 settling at Strawn.  He owned and operated the first water work at Strawn and the first ice plant, and has been justice of the peace and county Democratic chairman.

Descendants are Oma Link Rowley.  L. C. Link, Jr., Frances Link Matthews and Sarah Lew Link.
