The Sam Eades Came To Texas From Kentucky |
||
The original home of I. S. (Sam) Eades and his wife,
Georgia Taylor Eades is now occupied by their daughter, Mrs. M. A.
(Pauline) Howell in Palo Pinto. Mr. Eades, a native of Muelenburg,
Kentucky, came to Palo Pinto County in 1886 and was engaged in the
mercantile business. He later served as a sheriff's deputy and as
tax collector. He died in 1928 at the age of 73. He married
Georgia Taylor, who was born in this county, and was the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. H. G. Taylor, both of whom were here with their families before
the county was organized. Mrs. Taylor was Mary Jane Bevers,
daughter of George Bevers. They were members of the Christian
Church. |
