BOYS RANCH — Sharon Grimes Lindquist, 49, of Boys Ranch died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Cal Farley's Boys Ranch Chapel with Mike Wilhelm officiating. Burial will be in Cal Farley's Boys Ranch Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Sharon was born July 5, 1963, to William H. and Ann Krumsick Grimes. In 1965, she was baptized by Dr. Henry Barnett of Paseo Presbyterian Church in Kansas City, Mo.

Sharon attended TASIS in Lugano, Switzerland, from 1979 to 1980. She graduated in 1982 from St. Mary's Academy in Englewood, Colo. She attended Baker University in Baldwin, Kan., from 1982 to 1984. She was a member of Phi Mu sorority. She graduated with a degree in accounting from Barnes Business College in Denver.

Sharon married Randy Lindquist on Oct. 6, 1984, in Colombine United Church in Littleton, Colo. They had two children, Rachel Lindquist, BSN, RN, who was born in 1989 and Alex Lindquist, born in 1992, who is a senior at West Texas A&M University.

Sharon and her husband have been with Cal Farley's Boys Ranch for the past 15½ years. Sharon most recently worked as a day care assistant at Carter Day Care Center, helping care for babies.

Sharon and Randy have travelled extensively in Europe, Asia, Middle East, Australia and New Zealand. They have shared and enjoyed researching their family heritages. One of Sharon's collections was cookbooks and recipes from around the world.

She was preceded in death by her father, William H. Grimes, in 2008.

Survivors include her husband, Randy L. Lindquist; two children, Rachel Lindquist and Alex Lindquist, both of Amarillo; her mother, Ann Krumsick Grimes of Overland Park, Kan.; a brother, Glenn R. Grimes and wife Gii and their two children, Ryan and Emily of Sri Lanka; her mother-in-law, Zada S. Hamilton and husband Francis G. of Amarillo; her father-in-law, Lester L. Lindquist and wife Ann of Norwich, England; and her stepmother, Beatriz Grimes and her children Maya Fasthoff, Fabio and Rick Celeita of Houston.

The family suggests memorials be to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, Carter Day Care Center, P.O. Box 1890, Amarillo, TX 79174.
