Roger Paul Boggs, 54, of Amarillo died Monday, March 14, 2011.
A time of remembering and sharing will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Howard K. Batson officiating. Burial will be in Boot Hill Cemetery at Cal Farley's Boys Ranch. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.
Roger was born in the area and was raised at Cal Farley's Boys Ranch. He worked at the First Baptist Church and had been pursuing a career in nursing. He was a simple man who lived a simple life. He was known to be very kind-hearted and spent much of his time sharing his love for his Lord to others and bringing them to church. He also had a great love for singing and had a beautiful voice. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Ann Boggs.
Survivors include a daughter, Christina Boggs of Plano; a grandson, Miles Blankenship of Plano; and a brother, Gary Boggs of Amarillo
