Funeral service for Raymond "Ray" Willis, 84, of Sweetwater, were
held Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at 2 p.m. at McCoy Chapel of Memories
with Rev. Harvey Tingle officiating. Burial followed at the Garden of
Memories cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home with
military graveside rites.
He died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, in his residence.

Willis was born Nov. 25, 1923, in Midland. He married Jean May
Storch in New York City in 1945. He was a Methodist.

Survivors include one son, Barry Willis and wife Marketa of Canyon
Lake; two grandchildren, Raye Ann Gomez and husaband Roy and Bradley
Ray Willis and wife Sheri, all of Big Spring; and eight great-
grandchildren, Kody, Bryson, Roy, Jr., Alexia, Mary, Nickolas,
Gabriela and Mateo.

Pallbearers were Doyle Miles, Arthur Ray Boyd, Calvin Boyd, Ray
Cornutt, Bill Kennedy and Ken Pierce.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Willis on Oct. 16, 1985;
and one daughter, Donna Ann Willis in 1998.
