Winston Floyd Robison Funeral services for Winston Floyd Robison, 79, of Sweetwater will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2007, in the Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Ward Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Sweetwater. The Nolan County Honor Guard will perform military graveside rites. Visitation will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2007, in the funeral home. Mr. Robison died Wednesday, April 12, 2007, in the Abilene Regional Medical Center. He was born on Nov. 28, 1927, in Shallowater. He married Ellen Joyce Phillips on June 22, 1950, in Sweetwater. Mr. Robison was a retired brakeman for T&P Railroad after 40 years. He lived in Sweetwater since his sophomore year and graduated from Newman High School, and played football for the Sweetwater Mustangs. He attended North Texas State and was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church. Mr. Robison was also a charter member of the Sweetwater Rifle and Pistol Club and past officer. He also served as the gun show chairman for 11 years. Mr. Robison was also a member of the National Rifle Association and Ducks Unlimited. Survivors include two daughters, Hollye Mullen and her husband, David, of Ingleside-on-the-Bay, and Susie Clarkson and her husband, Bill, of Magnolia; one son, Joey Robison and his wife, Paula, of Sweetwater; one brother, William Hollis Robison of San Antonio; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife on Aug. 22, 1989; his mother, Laura Mae Robison, on Dec. 13, 1988; and his father, William F. Robison, on May 1, 1989.
