Mary Ted McElroy

Mary Ted McElroy, 88, of Sweetwater, died Wednesday, March 14, 2007,
at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.

The family will receive friends at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home
on Friday, March 16, 2007 fromm 6-8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2007
at First Christian Church with Rev. Richard Dorsey officiating.

Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of Cate-
Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

McElroy was born Jan. 25, 1919 in Van Zandt County. She was a member
of First Christian Church and had worked for Southwestern Bell
Telephone Company for many years before retiring.

Survivors include two sons, Charles McElroy and wife Kathie and
Benny McElroy and wife Dana, all of Sweetwater; five grandchildren,
Stephanie McElroy of Rule, Melinda Cook and husband Jerrod of Potosi,
Cody McElroy of Denton; Caleb McElroy and wife Becky of Abilene and
Brandie Gee and husband Jarrod of Post; and one great-grandson, Gavin
McElroy of Abilene.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Cullen Gunn;
one grandson, Christopher Daniel McElroy; and one great-grandson,
Jeffery Cook.

Pallbearers will be Cody McElroy, Caleb McElroy, Jarrod Gee, Jerrod
Cook, Gary Brown and Devin LaRue.
