YATES, JAMES F.
Cpl. James F. Yates, son of Mrs. Lovie Yates, husband of the former Miss Robbie Gilliam, attended Mildred Schools. Mobilized in 1940 with National Guard, trained with Hq. Btry. of XXII Artillery at Camp Bowie and Ft. McPherson, Ga. Now on duty in Germany. Has four Marksmanship Medals and 1 Combat Star.

Cpl. Jesse T. Yates, son of Mrs. Lovie Yates, husband of the former Miss Ivy Dowd, attended Mildred High School. Entered service, 1942, trained with Air Corps at Sheppard Field, where now on duty.
YATES, EMMETT J.
Pfc. Emmett J. Yates, son of Mrs. Lovie Yates, husband of the former Miss Margaret Cupples. Entered service, 1942, trained with Air Corps at Ellington Field. Volunteered for Infantry, 1944 in France, now on duty in Australia. Wounded in Germany, March 1945.

A/C Robert L. Yielding, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Yielding, Corsicana, attended Corsicana Schools, T.C.U., Polytech Institute, University of North Carolina.  Entered service, 1943, trained with Air Corps at Memphis, Tenn., Glenview, Ill., and Chapel Hill, N. Carolina.  Now on duty at Glenview, Ill.

G.M. 3/C William E. "Bud" York, son of Mr. and Mrs. Will York, husband of the former Miss Maggie Dyer, attended Frost Schools.  Entered service, 1944, trained with Navy at San Diego, California.  Has served in South Pacific, now on duty in Philippines.  Has Citation for service beyond call of duty.

Capt. Leo L. York, son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen A. York, husband of the former Miss Helen Pfiel, graduate of Corsicana High School.  Entered the service, 1939, trained with Air Corps at Randolph Field.  Has served in England, France and now on duty in Germany.
YORK, FREDDY D.
Pfc. Freddy D. York, son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen A. York, Corsicana, husband of the former Miss Mary Nell Nicholls, attended Corsicana High School.  Entered service, 1943, trained with Air Corps at Amarillo, Wichita Falls and Lewisville, Ky.  Discharged, 1944.
YORK, WILLIAM H.
Pfc. William H. York, son of Mrs. Ada York.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Army in California, Louisiana and Virginia.  Was killed in Action D-Day in France.
YORK, ANDREW T.
Cpl. Andrew T. York, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. York, husband of the former Miss Frances Roundtree, attended school at Purdon.  Entered the Army Signal Corps in 1941, trained at Ft. Monmonth, N.J.  Served in Ireland, England, Africa, and Italy 35 Months.  Has E.T.O. Ribbon and 3 Battle Stars.  Now at New York Port of Embarkation.

Pvt. Everett W. York, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew York, wife, the former Juanell Roundtree.  Attended Purdon Schools.  Entered service, 1944.  Trained in the Marines at San Diego and Camp Pendleton.  Served on Iwo Jima.  Now at Pearl Harbor.  Has Sharpshooter Medal.

SC 3/C J. A. Young, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Young, Corsicana.  Attended State Home School.  Entered service, 1943, training in the Navy Reserve at San Diego and Seattle.  Served on Palau, Guam, Luzon and other islands of the Pacific.

Cpl. F. M. Young, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Young, Milford.  Attended Slay Schools.  Entered service, 1942, training in the Air Corps at Camp Williams, Arizona, Now on duty at Okinawa.

Pvt. Loyce Young, son of the late Mrs. Mable Gordon.  Attended Mildred Schools.  Entered service, 1940, training with Marines at San Diego, California.  Served on Guadalcanal.  Killed in action on Guadalcanal 1943.  Has Purple Heart, which was awarded his sister, Mrs. William Montgomery.
YOUNGBLOOD, JACK
Pfc. Jack Youngblood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Youngblood, Corsicana. Attended school in Corsicana and Kilgore. Entered the Air Corps May 1943. Trained at Sheppard Field, Kelly Field and A&M College. Served in England and France. Now on duty in France.
