T/5 Jerold B. Jones, son of Mrs. Lillie Robertson, Corsicana, graduate of I.O.O.F. Home School.  entered service 1940, trained with Army at Camp Ord.  Has served in England, France, and Belgium, wounded 1944, received discharge, 1945.  Has Purple Heart, and 2 Battle Stars.

JOHNSON, JAMES E.
AOM 3/C James E. Johnson, son of Mrs. Mae Powell, attended Corsicana High School.  Entered service, 1944, trained with Navy as San Diego.
JOHNSON, JAMES H.
Pfc. James H. Johnson, brother of John B. Johnson, Corsicana, attended school in Kerens.  Enlisted in the Army in 1941, trained at Camp Robinson, Arkansas.  Has served overseas at New Guinea, Philippines, and Luzon, where now on duty.
JOHNSON, HUBERT H.
Cpl. Hubert H. Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Johnson, Corsicana, husband of the former Miss Alice Reeves, attended school at Kerens.  Entered the Army Engineers in 1942, trained at Camp Phillips, Kansas and Camp Forrest, Tenn.  Has served in New Guinea, Philippines, and Luzon, where now on duty.
JOHNSON, ROY W.
Cpl. Roy W. Johnson, son of C. W. Johnson, husband of the former Miss Frances Steele, graduate of Mildred High School.  Entered service 1944, trained with the Army at Ft. Sill, Oka, where he is now on duty.
JOHNSON, JAMES W.
Cpat. James W. Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Johnson, Kerens, husband of the former Miss Lucille Murdock.  Mobilized with T.N.G., 1940 n F.A. 36th Division, trained at Camp Bowie, Tex., Camp Blanding, Fla., Camp Edwards, Mass.  Has served in North African-Italian-French Campaigns.  Honorable Discharge April 1945.  Has Purple Heart, Bronze Star, 3 Campaign Stars, wounded March, 1944, Cassino, Italy.
JOHNSON, JOE P.
Pvt. Joe P. Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Johnson, Kerens, husband of the former Miss Mable Mitcham, attended Kerens High School.  Entered Army May 24, 1945, now on duty at Camp Hood, Texas.
JOHNSON, CHARLES V.
MM 1/C Charles V. Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. W.  Johnson, graduated from Union High.  Entered service, 1941, trained with Navy at San Diego and Detroit, Michigan.  has served in Australia, New Zealand, China, Philippines, now on duty in Pacific.

S/Sgt. Burl W. Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Johnson, Purdon.  Entered Army, 1944, trained at Camp Fannin and Van Dorn, Miss.  Has served in several battles in European Theater.  Has Bronze Star Meda.

Pfc. Albert W. Johnston, son of Mr. and ms. S. A. Johnston, Corsicana. Attended Mildred Schools.  Entered service, 1942.  Trained with Army at Camp Barkley.  Served in Ireland, England, France, and Germany.  Wounded in France, 1944.  Awarded Purple Heart and Inf. Badge.  Now somewhere in Germany.

Pfc. A. Johnston, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Johnston, Corsicana. Attended Mildred Schools.  Entered service 1940.  Trained with Army at Ft. Sill, Ft. Sam Houston, and Camp McCoy.  Served in Ireland, England, Belgium, France, Germany, and Wales.  Wounded in France 1944 and in Belgium 1945.  Has Purple Heart, Clusters, Good Conduct Medal, Inf. Badge. Discharged 1945.
JOHNSTON, VERNON S.
Pfc. Vernon S. Johnston, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel A. Johnston, husband of the former Kathryn Beamon.  Attended Mildred Schools.  Entered service, 1941.  Trained with Field Artillery of Army at Ft. Sill, Ft. Sam Houston and Camp McCoy.  Served in Ireland, England, France, Belgium and is now somewhere in Germany.

Johnston.  Husband of former Geraldine Hayes.  Graduate of Corsicana High School.  Entered service, 1941.  Trained with the Army Ordnance at Camp Normoyle.  Camp Young, Camp Cooke.  Has served in Hawaii and Philippines.  Is now on Leyte.  Has Good Conduct Ribbon, Unit Citation, Battle Stars.

Pvt. Ishmel L. Johnston, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. I. Johnston, Wife, the former Edna Earl Wilson.  Attended State Home School.  Entered service, 1944.  Trained with Infantry at Camp Hood.  Served in Philippines and is now on Luzon.
JOHNSTON, VIRGIL E.
RDM 2/C Virgil E. Johnston, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. I. Johnston, attended State Home School.  Entered service, 1941.  Trained with the Navy at San Diego.  Served in South Pacific.  Killed in action aboard USS Franklin off Leyte, 1944.  Has Purple Heart.
JOHNSTON, KENNETH B.
Pfc. Kenneth B. Johnston, son of Mr. and Mrs. George B. Johnston, Oklahoma, husband of former Harriett L. Chambless.  Attended Pawnee, Oklahoma Schools.  Entered service, 1940,  training at Ft. Sam Houston, Tex.  Served in Ireland, Scotland and England.  Is now on duty at Camp Swift.
