Services for
Mrs. Lessie B. Barnes, 82, of Hughes Springs were Saturday, August 12, 2000 at
Liberty United Methodist Church Town with the Rev. George E Hancock
officiating. Mrs. Barnes was born Oct. 17, 1917 in Sulphur Springs. She died
Monday, Aug. 7, 2000 in Pittsburg. She was a homemaker and a life long member
of the Liberty United Methodist Church. Survivors include two brothers and two
sisters, Bruce Williams, Larry Williams, Arzie Williams and Annis Williams all
of Dallas; granddaughter, Lessie Askew of Hughes Springs; grandson, Victor Chism
of Hughes Springs; one daughter-in-law Erma J Barnes; three great
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, B. B. Barnes and her
son Marvin Barnes. Burial was in Liberty Cemetery. (Location Unknown0
