Obituaries for Iron Bluff Cemetery

CRAKER, MILDRED                                   April 2, 1929 � November 29, 1995

MILDRED CRAKER, 66, of Lone Star, died Wednesday, November 29, 1995, in a Longview hospital.  Funeral services were at 2 pm, Friday, December 1, at the Nail-Haggard Funeral Home Chapel with Johnny Coleman officiating.  Burial was in the Iron Bluff Cemetery at Lone Star.  Mrs. Craker was born April 2, 1929, in Walters, OK.  She was a member of the Ore City Church of Christ, and worked as a waitress in Lone Star for 30 years.  Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Powell Lee and Betty Jo Craker of Houston; a daughter and son-in-law, Regena and Troy Wilhite of Lone Star; a sister, Lorena Wood of Sundown, TX; seven grandchildren, Gena Carol Wilhite, Carl Ray Wilhite, Regena Stringer and Mendy Munn, all of Lone Star, Cameron Craker of FL, William Perkins of Boran, CA., Ronald Perkins of Naples, Deedra Baugus of Midlothian and Jimmy McMichael of Houston; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. HALEY, ZELMA WILSON                        March 23, 1923 �  February ?, 2009

Funeral services for Zelma Haley, 85, of Douglasville, were held Feb, 28 at Piney Grove Baptist Church, near Atlanta, with Rev. Chris Cowan officiating. Burial was in Iron Bluff Cemetery in Lone Star under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home Inc. Mrs. Haley was born on March 23, 1923, to Oren Wilson and Lula Kirkpatrick Wilson in Lone Star, and died at a Long Term Care Facility in Tyler. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Atlanta. Mrs. Haley was preceded in death by her husband Martin �Bud� Haley in 1997. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law Larry and Sandy Haley of Texarkana; two daughters and sons-in-law Judi and Steve Rowley of Tyler, and Ann and Bill Carpenter of Mount Vernon; one sister and brother-in-law Fayrene and Winford Trammell of Lone Star; 10 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. SHARBINE, GEORGE E                    December 20, 1933 � November 16, 2005

Services for Mr. George E �Johnny� Sharbine, 71, of Lone Star, were Friday, November 18, 2005, at Veal Switch Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Henry Grubbs officiating.  Mr. Sharbine was born December 20, 1933, in McKinney.  He died Wednesday, November 16, 2005, in Longview.  He was a retired auto mechanic.  Survivors include two daughters, Sandy Barton of Naples and Tammy Carr of Livingston; two sons, James Sharbine of Naples and Johnny Sharbine of Lone Star; two sisters, Elizabeth Olds of Mt. Pleasant and Maxine Gilmore of Paris;10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  Interment was at Iron Bluss Cemetery.  (Location Unknown)

 

WILLTROUT, D. J. (Don)                          January 15, 1940 � August 14, 1995

D. J. (DON) WILLTROUT, 55, of Keller, TX, died Monday, August 14, 1995, in the Mimosa Nursing Home in Keller.  Services were at 2 pm Sunday, August 20, at the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Daingerfield, with the Rev. James Luby and the Rev. Nolan Richey officiating.  Mr. Willtrout was born January 15, 1940, in Daingerfield to J B and Gladys Willtrout and he was a plumber.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Penny Savage.  Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Hall of Bedford; one son, Kevin Willtrout of Ft. Worth; four sisters, Irma Black of Daingerfield, Lena Esposito of Ontario, CA, Reita Clayton of Omaha, and Jean Witherspoon of Odem, TX; and several nieces and nephews.  Burial was in the Iron Bluff Cemetery at Lone Star, TX.
