ADCOCK, MELVIN EUGENE (GENE)                      September 24, 1927 – August 4, 1999

Services for Mr. Melvin Eugene “Gene” Adcock, 71, of Daingerfield, were held Saturday, August 7, 1999 at Bradfield Chapel Methodist Church with the Rev. Ernest Harris officiating.  Mr. Adcock was born September 24, 1927 in Bessemer, AL and died Wednesday, August 4, 1999 in Longview.  He was a member of the Bradfield Chapel Methodist Church and the United Steelworkers of America.  He was retired from Lone Star Steel.  Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Mary and Michael McLarty of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Jean Marie Starling of Gulfport, MS; one sister, Mary Edna Wright of Manchester, TN; one granddaughter and two grandsons.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Winnie Marie Adcock.  Burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Hughes Springs. CAMPBELL, FRANCES (JEAN)                               January 20, 1922 – June 14, 2001

Services for Mrs. Frances “Jean” Campbell, 79, of Daingerfield were Saturday, June 16, 2001 at Rocky Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Wellis and Rev. James Hinkle officiating.  Mrs. Campbell was born January 20, 1922 in Daingerfield.  She died Thursday, June 14, 2001.  She was retired from the Daingerfield School District, a member of the Rocky Branch Baptist Church and a lifetime resident of Daingerfield.  Survivors include her husband, James L. Campbell of Daingerfield; two sons and daughters-in-law, James R. and Glenda Campbell of Dallas and David and Mickie Campbell of Athens; one daughter and son-in-law, Molene and Bill Tidwell of Haughton, LA; one sister, Gladys Jones of Omaha; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  (Location Unknown)

CAMPBELL, JAMES (JIMMIE)                               September 4, 1919 – July 17, 2007

James “Jimmie” Campbell, 87, of Daingerfield, TX, died Tuesday, July 17, 2007, in a Daingerfield nursing home.  Mr. Campbell was born September 4, 1919, in Linden, TX.  He was an employee of Lone Star Steel, a member of Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist Church and a World War II Army veteran.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Campbell.  Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Glenda Campbell of Dallas, and David and Mickie Campbell of Murchison, TX; one daughter and son-in-law, Moline and Bill Tidwell of Haughton, LA; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.  Services will be 2 pm Friday at Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist Church, Rocky Branch, TX with the Rev. Larry Neely officiating.  Burial will be in Bradfield Cemetery, Daingerfield, under direction of Harrison Funeral Home. (Location Unknown)

COLLINS, IMA DEAN (JEAN)                                 February 14, 1932 – April 20, 2001

Services for Ima Dean “Jean” Collins, 69, of Gilmer, were at 2 pm, Sunday, April 22, at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Hughes Springs with the Rev. Curtis Hall officiating.  Mrs. Collins was born February 14, 1932, in Jefferson.  She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Pittsburg, and was a homemaker.  Survivors include her husband, Bobby M. Collins of Gilmer; three sons, William Alfred Mills of Pittsburg, Robert Earl Collins of Pittsburg and Tony Dywayne Collins of Gilmer; three daughters, Barbara Ann Briggs of Pittsburg, Rhonda Elizabeth Starr of Longview, and Debra Lynn Luton of Mt. Pleasant; six brothers, Ray Gilmore of Hughes Springs, Ross Gilmore of Daingerfield, Kenneth Gilmore of Paris, Roger Dale Gilmore of Mt. Pleasant, Jack Wesley Gilmore of Hughes Springs and Bobby Joe Gilmore of McKinney; five sisters, Dorothy Jackson of Longview, Betty Horn of McKinney, Kathy Ray of Naples, Linda Malico of Daingerfield and Cheryl Brock of OK; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and numberous nieces and nephews.  Interment was in Bradfield Chapel Cemetery. FLETCHER, DIXIE ALEENE                                     October 18, 1914 – April 7, 20007

Services for MRS. DIXIE ALEENE FLETCHER, 92, Daingerfield, were to be conducted today, Thursday April 12, 2007, at the Nail Haggard Chapel in Daingerfield, with the Rev. Paul Elrod officiating.  Mrs. Fletcher was born October 18, 1914, in Omaha.  She died April 7, 2007, at Golden Acres Nursing Home in Dallas.  She was a long time resident of Daingerfield, a member of Assembly of God Church in Hughes Springs, and was very devoted to her family and church.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Charlie W; brother, Leon Davis; sisters, Myrtis Tucker and Syble Davis. Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Lorena and Bill Walker of Bossier City, LA, Naomi and Stan Little of Mesquite, TX, Shirley and Ron Marabito of Richardson, TX, and Freda Fletcher of Hughes Springs; five grandchildren, Nita Sanders, Mark Weathersby, Charles Walker, Susan Collum, and Chad Campbell; and four great-grandchildren.  Burial was in Bradfield Chapel Cemetery. GARNER, JEANIE E.                                               September 12, 1913 – June 23, 2002

Graveside services for Mrs. Jeanie E. Garner, 88, of Lone Star will be conducted today, Wednesday, June 26, 2002 at 10 am at the Bradfield Chapel Cemetery with the Reverend Steven Hill officiating.  Mrs. Garner was born September 12, 1913 in Gadsden, AL.  She died Sunday, June 23, 2002 in Hughes Springs.  She was a member of the Lone Star Baptist Church and a homemaker.  Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Bobby Hill of Hughes Springs, Peggy and Gerald Phillips and Jan and Mike Floyd, all of Cason; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Garner; and a son, Julian E. Elliott.  (Row 13)

GARRETT, J. W., JR.                                               August 9, 1925 – August 22, 2003

Services for Mr. J. W. Garrett, Jr., 78, of Naples were Monday, August 25, 2003, at First Baptist Church in Naples with the Reverends Bob Pearce and Barry Brown officiating.  Mr. Garrett was born August 9, 1925, in Marietta.  He died Friday, August 22, 2003, in Mt. Pleasant.  He was a retired employee of Red River Army Depot, member of the First Baptist Church, a veteran of World War II, member of the Naples Volunteer Fire Department and a lifetime resident of Naples.  Survivors include his wife, Moselene Garrett of Naples; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Jan Garrett and Leslie and Ellen Garrett, all of Tyler; two sisters, Mildred Wyninegar and Betty Simpson, both of Naples; sever grandchildren, Julie Foley of North Richland Hills, Ginger Garrett, Justin Garrett, Hayley Garrett, Adrianne Garrett, Collin Garrett and Logan Garrett, all of Tyler; one great-grandson, Austyn Drain of North Richaland Hills; and a number of nieces and nephews.  Pallbearers included Kenneth Jordan, Kenny Jordan, Phil Clark, Jimmy Wyninegar, Perry Simpson and Mark Melton.  Interment was at Bradfield Chapel Cemetery.

GILMORE, WILLIAMS ALFORD (JACK)                     March 16, 1912 – December 27, 2000

Services for Mr. William Alford “Jack” Gilmore, 88, of Naples were Saturday, December 30, 2000 at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Hughes Springs with the Rev. Curtis hall officiating.  Mr. Gilmore was born March 16, 1912 in Henderson.  He died Wednesday, December 27, 2000 in Tyler.  He was a retired truck driver and a Baptist.  Survivors include six sons Jackie Gilmore of Naples; Ray Gilmore of Hughes Springs; Ross Gilmore of Daingerfield; Roger Gilmore, Bobby Gilmore and Kenneth Gilmore, all of McKinney; six daughters Linda Malico and Cheryl Jackson of Marshall, Jean Collins of Gilmer; 37 grandchildren and several great and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife Beatrice Cope Gilmore in 1976 and one son W. C. Gilmore.  Burial was in Bradfield Chapel Cemetery.  (Location Unknown)

HOLSOPPLE, ROBERT G.                                       June 6, 1961 – January 30, 2007

Graveside services for MR. ROBERT G. HOLSOPPLE, 45, of Daingerfield, were to be at 2 pm, Thursday, February 1, 2007, at Bradfield Chapel Cemetery near Daingerfield, with the Rev. Scott Darby officiating.  Mr. Holsopple was born June 6, 1961, in Altoona, PA.  He died January 30, 2007, at Titus County Regional Medical, Mt. Pleasant, TX.  He was an employee of RSO at Welch Power Plant near Mt. Pleasant.  Survivors include his wife, Binky Holsopple; his son, Eric Holsopple, and his daughter, Kristin Holsopple, all of Daingerfield; Two brothers, David of Omaha and Marshall of Baytown; and his mother and step-father, Carol and Gene Boyd of Mont Belvieu, TX.

HOUSTON, A. J.                                                       April 10, 1911 – April 28, 1996

A. J. HOUSTON, 85, of Naples, died Sunday, April 28, 1996, at Titus Regional Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant.  Services were at 2 pm, Wednesday, May 1, at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Naples, with the Rev. Bill Harty officiating.  Burial was in the Bradfield Chapel Cemetery.  Mr. Houston was born on April 10, 1911, in Cornett.  He was a farmer, and retired from the Paul Pewitt Independent School District and a member of the Belden Masonic Lodge of Naples.  Survivors include one nephew, J. C. Hampton of Naples; one niece, Jolean Morrison of Houston, TX; and a number of cousins. (Row 11)

JONES, FRANCES ORA CAMPBELL                          February 7, 1923 – July 23, 1997

Frances Ora Jones, 74, of Daingerfield, died Wednesday, July 23, 1997, in Longview.  Funeral services were at 2 pm, Friday, July 25, at the Nail-Haggard Funeral Home in Daingerfield, with the Rev. Richard Jones officiating.  Burial was in the Bradfield Chapel Cemetery.  Mrs. Jones was born February 7, 1923, in Hughes Springs.  She was a homemaker, and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Longview.  Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ann Seaburg of Tyler; a son, Tom Lyster of Daingerfield; a sister and brother-in-law, Donna Bell and James Collins of Daingerfield; a brother and sister-in-law, Loyd and Nellie Campbell of Marietta; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.  (Row 17)

JONES, GLADYS                                                     September 27, 1911 – September 17, 2006

Services for MRS. GLADYS JONES, 94, of Daingerfield, were Tuesday, September 19, 2006, at Nail-Haggard Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Hinkle officiating.  Mrs. Jones was born September 27, 1911, in Cookville.  She died Sunday, September 17, 2006, in Mt Pleasant.

She was a homemaker and a member of Rocky Branch Baptist Church.  Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Jerry Williams of Omaha; one son and daughter-in-law, Loyd and Bette Jones of Daingerfield; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Jones; and two sons, Edward and Arlen Jones.  Interment was at Bradfield Chapel Cemetery. LEE, LINDA SUE                                                     June 21, 1946 – October 17, 2007

Services for Mrs. Linda Sue Lee, 61, of Daingerfield, were October 21, 2007, at South Union Baptist Church with the Revs. Chad Thompson and Neal Clark officiating.  Mrs. Lee was born June 21, 1946, in Pittsburg.  She died October 17, 2007, in Longview.  She was a member of South Union Missionary Baptist Church and worked as a social worker for the State of Texas.  Survivors include her husband, Jackie Lee of Daingerfield; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Jay West of Ft. Worth, and Melissa and Ken Armentrout of Dallas; son, Jeff Lee of Knoxville, Tennessee; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Lorraine Martin of Daingerfield; three brothers-in-law, Gary Lee of Tyler, Sammy Lee of Wiley, and Hayden Lee of Lone Star; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Surver of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and Pam Minor of Lone Star; and grandchildren, Hannah and Emily West of Ft. LIVINGSTON, MILDRED BERLINE                             December 16, 1930 – November 16, 2008

Graveside services for Mildred Berline Livingston, 77, of Daingerfield, were held Nov. 19 at Bradfield Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Seybert officiating.  Mrs. Livingston was born Dec, 16, 1930, in Pittsburg and died Nov. 16 in Daingerfield.  (Locationi Unknown)

MORRISON, POLLY STEWARD                               December 23, 1953 – February 13, 2007

Services for MRS. POLLY STEWARD MORRISON, 53, of Longview, were February 17, 2007, at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Hughes Springs, with the Rev. Curtis Hall officiating.  Mrs. Morrison was born December 23,1953, in Gilmer.  She died February 13, 2007, in a Longview hospital.  She worked at the Longview News-Journal as payroll administrator and had been employed there since 1989.  She was a member of Winterfield United Methodist Church of Longview.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Doris Steward; one sister, Lula Bell Magill; one brother, Morris Steward, Jr., and one niece, Sharon Allen.  Survivors include one son, Phillip Morrison of Portland, Oregon; one daughter, Julia Morrison of Longview; one sister and brother-in-law, Lou Ann and Andy Schlagel and one brother and sister-in-law, Henry and Anita Steward, all of Omaha; four nieces and one nephew.  Burial was at Bradfield Chapel Cemetery near Daingerfield. 

REEL, BAYLOR RANDOLPH                                      January 18, 2009 – March 7, 2009

Graveside services for six weeks old Baylor Randolph Reel were held March 10, 2009, at Bradfield Chapel Cemetery with  Scott Darby and Father Ambrose officiating.  Baylor was born January 18, 2009, in Dallas and died March 7, 2009, in Mount Pleasant.  He was the son of Robert Reel and Elena Mullins of Daingerfield.  (Location Unknown)

WATERS, SIGOURNEY TRAYLOR                              May 25, 1907 – November 4, 2003

Services for Mrs. Sigourney Traylor Waters, 96, of Omaha, will be conducted Saturday, November 15, 2003, at 10 a.m. at Bradfield Chapel Methodist Church.  Mrs. Waters was born May 25, 1907, in Hughes Springs.  She died Tuesday, November 4, 2003, in Omaha.  She was a retired bookkeeper, member of Bradfield Chapel Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star and a longtime resident of Morris County.  Survivors include one brother, J. C. Traylor of Naples; one sister Pauline Millikan of Grand Blanc, MI; eight nieces and six nephews.  (Row 12)
