Llano County is full of history; historical families, historical places, buildings, and events. Many of which have been documented by the placement of Historical Markers along the way. Others, while maybe not marked with a plaque, are still historical to the local Llano Co residents.

If you can click on the name that means it probably has a story and photo to view, or at least some historically documented data to read – if not, then stories/photos have not yet been completed or added. Please, if you know of any special points of historical or genealogical interest from around Llano County that should be listed, contact the Llano County Coordinator. We are looking for “then & now” photos (if possible) to accompany any landmark story. If you have older photos for any of the historically marked landmarks in the county and would like to contribute them for use here on the Llano Co site, we would appreciate it. Contributors always get credit for their work.
