Whit Crane - George Elkins
George Elkins, 35, shot and killed Whit Crane, age 30, at or near the home of Harry Price in Genoa this morning.  It is alleged the men had domestic problems. (Elkins said that Crane ruined his home.)  After firing, Elkins escaped into the woods, telling parties that he would not surrender today but he would tomorrow to Sheriff Barker.  Sheriff Baker went to Genoa immediately upon learning of the killing and searched the woods and was unable to locate Elkins. Burial will be in Fouke.
