1 May 2012      Thank you TXGenWeb Surfing Committee for naming Kerr County as the April 2012 County of the Month.    The TXGenWeb is a wonderful site and provides free genealogy information for researchers of every county in the state.  And thanks to the volunteers who contribute so much to the Kerr County TXGenWeb pages.

19 Feb 2012    Charles Sherman has provided several gravestone photos for Nichols Cemetery for the Sherman and Secrest families.   Thanks Charles.  The latest burial information is also added to the webpage in Garden of Memories  and Garden of Memories North.    The search engine is updated.

21 Aug 2011  Ruth Kiel and her husband, Colonel Frank Kiel, have furnished photos for  Verde Valley Cemetery (located on Las Espuelas Ranch) after a recent visit to the site.   Thanks to them for these photos.      Verde Valley Cemetery

8 Jan 2011      Cemetery Pages have been updated with recent Kerr County burials and the Pico Search Engine is  also updated.   

22 Jul 2010     Another Tivy "Antler" yearbook transcription has been provided the Kerr  County TXGenWeb page by Thelma Sutton.  This time it is for the 1939 "Antler".   Names of the Senior students with their activities along with the faculty is first.  Then the Junior, Sophomore and Freshmen students are next (names, only).  Also included are alphabetical listings for the 6th and 7th grades.   The Tivy High School students are not listed alphabetically but you can use your "Find" feature in your browser to search for a name.

10 Jun 2010   Thelma Sutton has sent her transcription of the 1937 Tivy "Antler" yearbook.  Names of all seniors, their activities and parents are included as well as a listing of the students in the Junior, Sophomore and Freshmen classes.  Kerr Photos & More or  Tivy High School 1937 "Antler"    Thanks, Thelma.

24 Jan 2010     Charles Sherman has contributed several school days photos from early days in Kerr County...Lowrance School, Kelly Creek School and Turtle Creek School.  The "Early School Days" page is expanded to include the latest pages with these school photos.   He also sent an article about the Turtle Creek Sewing Club which formed in 1926.    Many pioneer Kerr County families' names can be found in the article.   See  Kerr Photos and More   then scroll down to view the new Early  School Days pages and the Turtle Creek Sewing Club page.
