There are 17 unknown graves with the oldest identified grave being that of Franklin Riley (Baby) dated 1862."
The information above was taken from a July 1991 Census.
In addition to George Henry Swetnam and his wife Jennie Reed Swetnam, other known Swetnam family members buried at Kilby are:
**We believe that P.T. Swetnam was read in error and was actually the headstone of R. T. (Robert Thomas) Swetnam. Based on the age of P. T. Swetnam and no family records of a P. T. Swetnam, it is our belief that the P.T. Swetnam headstone should have been read as R. T. Swetnam. According to a family bible and family records, E. Allen Allen's name should have been recorded as Albert Edward Allen and his date of death was July 29, 1911. George W. Allen's full name was George William Allen.
Kilby Cemetery 1995. Thanks to the new property owners, Kilby Cemetery has been cleaned up since this picture was taken. This act is greatly appreciated by all the descendents of those who are buried here.
