TATOM, DOLLIE, MRS. - The wife of Mr. Dal Tatom, died March 1, 1915, age 26. She was sick only a few days. She leaves a husband, father, mother, brothers and sisters. She was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Jack Cawthron. Burial in the New Hope cemetery.

TATOM, JANIE, MRS. - The oldest child of Dink and Mary Cathron and the wife of Bob Tatom died at her father-in-law's near New Hope on Sept. 16, 1908. She leaves a dear father, mother, brother, sister, husband, and one baby boy near two years old. She would have been 19 years old the 6th day of this coming March. Funeral services conducted by Rev. Dickson and her remains were laid away at the Rockdale cemetery.

E. W. Taylor, pioneer citizen of Hopkins County, hanged himself Saturday morning, Nov. 29, 1924, in the barn at the home of his son-in-law, Julius Ardis, six miles west of Sulphur Springs. Mr. Taylor had been in bad health for some time, suffering with a leakage of the heart. Recently he moved with his wife from town out to his son-in-laws to spend the winter, as he was unable to do anything around the home. He was more than seventy years old and had lived in Hopkins County for the past fifty years. He is survived by his wife and two sons and three daughters, his first wife having died many years ago. Funeral services and burial are to be at Gafford Chapel.

R. H. Taylor, of the Dike community, died early Monday morning in the hospital of his son, Dr. W. A. Taylor, in Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Taylor suffered a stroke in Mt Pleasant Friday of last week. Funeral services will be held at Dike, with interment in the Connor cemetery. He is survived by his wife, one daughter and five sons, Mrs. W. E. Hargrave, Sulphur Springs; T. A. Taylor, O. E. Taylor, L. W. Taylor, and B. R. Taylor of Dike; one brother, George Taylor, and a sister, Mrs. Hershel Lum, both of Avery, Texas, also survive. Two sons, Claude and Clifford Taylor, preceded Mr. Taylor in death.)

A graveside service for Lela Mae Tennison, 78, of Sulphur Springs were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, in Greenview Cemetery with Chaplain Curtis French officiating.
Mrs. Tennison died Saturday, Sept. 25, at Sunny Springs Nursing Home.
She was born in Como on April 19, 1926, to Frank William and Mary Lee Darlin Wood. She married Frank Tennison in Fort Worth on Feb. 3, 1954. He preceded her in death in 1999. Mrs. Tennison was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Crockett of Alba and Linda Kay Pigg of Athens; one son, Buford "Butch" Ray Dillon of Mineola; two sisters, Fay Smith and Betty Pearson, both of Sulphur Springs; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Gary Wayne Tennison and Ricky Lynn Tennison, and one grandson.

THOMAS, JASPER, MRS. - Mrs. Jasper (Helen) Thomas was 61 years old, and had been a faithful member of the Baptist church. She was the mother of six children: Mrs. Eula Harless, of Sherman; Mrs. Sallie Yates, of Greenville; Dr. H.R. Thomas, of Kenna, New Mexico; Dr. J. B. Thomas, of this city; Mrs. Annie Williamson and Mrs. Rosa Carothers, of this city. Funeral services will be conducted at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. R. B. Carothers, and the burial in the City cemetery.

Death of a Child
From Wednesday's Dailly.
Bruce Thurman, 16-months-old child of C.A. Thurman, died last night at the family home on West Eighth street, near the City Green house. The body was shipped today to Weaver, former home of the family, for interment. The family has resided here only a short while. Mr. Thurman has a position at the T. & P. roundhouse. Other members of the family are reported ill.

[According to Texas Deaths, 1890-1976, Bruce Thurman died 7 FEB 1923 in Bonham, Fannin County, Texas. He was born 11 SEP 1921 in Hopkins County and was the son of C.A. Thurman and Ana May Kinnard. Cause of death is listed as capillary bronchitis.]

Clarence R. Tipps
Funeral services for Clarence R. "Buster" Tipps, 70, of Miller Grove will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov.23, at Tapp Funeral Home with the Rev. Guy Mays and the Rev. Tommy Hall officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenview Cemetery with Johnny Ferguson, Poncho Lopez, Doug Hall, Lewis Russell, Dwayne Wren, Billy Wren, Jim Potts and. Bret Darrow serving as pa1Ibearers. Honorary pall-bearers will be Steve Culberson, Mac Garrett, Billy Lynn and Sam Speed.
Visitation will be from .6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22, at Tapp Funeral Home.
Mr. Tipps died at; 12:05p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at his residence.
He was born in Celeste on May 11, 1929, the son of Austin Manuel and Ruth Brand Tipps He married Faye Wren on June 2, 1948, in Miller Grove. She survives.
Mr. Tipps was a maintenance worker for ESCQ and E-Systems in Greenville for 32 years. He was a member of Miller Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Stevie Ray Tipps and Monty Tipps, both of Sulphur Springs; one daughter, Connie Briggs of Miller Grove; two brothers,. Jimmy Tipps and Jerry Tipps of Greenville; two sisters, Joy Wilemon. of. Brashear and Nelda Campbell of Wolfe City; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Arnold Tipps.

Mrs. Titsworth
Rosie Lee Titsworth, 80, of Farmersbranch died Jan. 24, 1982 at 10:28 p.m. in the Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tom George officiating. Burial will follow at the Peerless Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Titsworth, formerly of Peerless, was born in Hopkins County Nov. 18, 1902 the daughter of Will and Nora Hatton Coffman. She was married to William Foster (Bill) Titsworth on Oct. 17, 1928. He preceded her in death in 1975. She also was preceded in death by a son, Bill Titsworth, Jr. in 1980.
She is survived by two sons, Aubry L. Titsworth of Peerless and William A. Titsworth of Whitney; two daughters: Flora Bell Owens of Cooper and Adell Vandergriff of Farmersbranch; two brothers: Ernest Coffman of Dallas and Eldridge Coffman of Commerce; a sister, Pearl Coffman of Commerce; 13 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.

TITTLE, JIM - Died February 29, 1908, at his home three miles east of Birthright, from pneumonia. He was 48 years old and had lived in our community a few years. He was laid to rest in the Tira cemetery.

Lou Varie Toles died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Nannie Shumate, following a weeks illness of typhoid fever. She was the granddaughter of A. F. Toles of Brashear , and was visiting her sister at County Line when she became ill. Funeral services and burial will take place at Miller Grove. (1935)

Mrs. R. A. Toles (Sibby Ann), of Brashear, died Monday from the effects of paralysis, with which she had been suffering since last May. She is survived by her husband and a large number of children. The remains were buried at Miller Grove. (Dec 1920)

TOMLINSON, SAMUEL G. - Became a Master Mason, February 4, 1864. He became a resident of Hopkins county about 1857, and moved to Fort Worth in 1890 where he died January 8, 1908. His faithful wife and son, Gordon A. Tomlinson, survive him. He was about 79 years old.

Bobby Jean Tubb, the baby girl of Mr. & Mrs. Ernest Tubb, died Jan. 29, 1934. She had only been in their sad world about two months, and only been sick about a week. She leaves her father, mother, baby brother, and sister. Burial was made in the Connor cemetery.

TURNER, BESSIE, MRS. - Mrs. Turner (nee Waggoner) died September 27, 1908, at her home. She was the wife of Edd Turner. She leaves a sweet baby girl just three weeks old, a husband, father, mother, sisters and brothers. She was a member of the Baptist church of this place. She spent all of her girlhood days with the people of this place, and all of her married life in Electra, Texas. Mrs. H.L. Morgan and Mrs. Kate Hurley, her sisters from Hopkins county, attended the funeral.
