Sulphur Springs Gazette: Eight persons were immersed last Sunday evening by elder S. J. Anderson, preacher in charge of the baptist church at this place. Three others are awaiting baptism, and thus the good work goes on. The baptist church of this city now numbers 203 members in full fellowship....Seven persons were added to the M.E. church south last Sunday in our town. Eighty-eight persons have joined this church since the commencement of the late camp meeting here.... Bishop Garrett preached at the methodist church, in our town, to a goodly audience, last Monday night....The members of the presbyterian church of our town and vicinity are prepareing to construct a church-house....Railroads are giving half-fare rates in favor of the reunion of Ector's brigade, at Sulphur Springs, on the 13th day of October next.
