(Obit - C. M. Patton, pioneer citizen, leading banker, and financier of Cumby, died at his 
home in that town Tuesday night after a lingering illness. He was about 60 years old, 
having been born in the State of Mississippi. He came to Cumby when a young man and soon 
became one of the foremost men of the town. For many years he was actively connected with 
the banking interest of the town and other banks in this part of the state. He is survived 
by his wife, one son, Edwin Patton, and two daughters, Miss Grace Patton and Miss Ada Patton. 
Services will be held in Cumby with burial in the cemetery at that place.) ( Daily
