(Obit - Mrs. Etta Cross, mother of Mrs. Jim Rippy, died Monday night at the family 
residence in Cumby after a lingering illness. She was a pioneer citizen of that 
place. Funeral services and burial took place in Cumby (Hopkins Co. Echo, Fri., 
Mar. 29, 1929)
