LANIER, Don E. SP (G) 3/c., son of Mr. and Mrs. Emmet Lanier, husband of the former Ruth Mae Harris. Entered the Navy in June 1942, trained at Dallas Texas.  Received Diploma from navy Specialist Gunnery School, Pensacola, FL. Good conduct medal.
LAWRENCE, Oliver W. T/Sgt., Son of Mr. and Mrs. O.S. Lawrence. Entered the Army Infantry in July 1942, trained at Camp Wolters, TX. Served in Panama, Australia, Philippines, and on New Guinea. Has Purple Heart with one oak leaf cluster, Combat Ribbon with five battle stars, Infantry badge, good conduct medal. Wounded in Action in July 1944 on New Guinea. Killed in Action April 21,
1945 on Luzon.
