Meetings and Seminars

Hidalgo County Genealogical Society meets from September through May in the Exhibit Room of the McAllen Memorial Library at 601 North Main Street (Main at Fir). *

Saturday Seminars are held on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 9:30 -11:30 am, * except in December and March when Special All Day Seminars will be held at the Speer Memorial Library in Mission, Texas. Social Time begins at 9:30 am and the speaker begins at 10:00 am. Informative topics are presented to help members and visitors with their genealogical research. Visitors are always welcome!

Regular Society Meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of the month from 2:00-3:30 pm in the Exhibit Room of the McAllen Memorial Library. There is no December meeting. Social Time begins at 1:30 p.m. and is followed by a short business meeting. Then pre-scheduled presentations by HCCGS members are presented in which they share an aspect of their own family history discoveries, research problems and problem solving.
