Don Winston Stephens, 77, longtime resident of Haskell County, passed away
Sunday, September 9, 2012, at his home in Haskell.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m.,
Thursday, September 13, 2012, at Willow Cemetery with
Bro. Rob Harrison officiating. Visitation is planned for
Wednesday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00
p.m.
Don was born January 23, 1935, to Daniel Ottley and
Anna Eula (Everett) Stephens in Haskell County. He
married Mamie Janet Conner in Granfield, OK on October
21, 1958. Don was a member of Pinkerton Baptist Church
and is retired from Haskell County Road and Bridge
Department.
He is preceded in death by his parents, D.O. and Eula
Stephens; sister, Zelta Faun Foster; brother-in-law,
Elmo Foster; sister-in-law, Doris Slater;
daughter-in-law, Leta Stephens; 2 nephews, Mike Foster
and Luke Conner.
Don is survived by his wife Janet; 2 sons, Winston
Stephens and wife Sharon, and Dan Stephens; 1 daughter,
Shannon Warrington and husband Ross; 6 granddaughters,
Stephanie Quintero and husband Hugo, Lacey Siegfried and
husband Brett, Adria Pittman and husband Colton,
Savannah Stephens, Tara Myers, Haley Myers; 3 grandsons,
Winston Stephens, Jr. and wife Christina, Taylor Hunt,
Shawn Myers; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers-in-law,
Jack Slater, H.L. Conner and wife Sharon, David Conner;
2 sisters-in-law, Nellwyn Graham and husband Curtis,
Gladys Riggs and husband Charles; and numerous nieces
and nephews.
