Joe Willard Muhle, Sr.
1928 – 2001

DICKENS — Services for Joe Willard Muhle Sr., 72, of Spur will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Calvary Temple in Dickens with the Rev. Renay Rice officiating.

Burial will be at Rochester Cemetery in Rochester under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.

He died Wednesday, June 13, 2001.

He was born June 25, 1928, in Anson and married Cassels Leverett on March 23, 1990, in Sweetwater. She died May 18, 1994. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, and had lived in Spur since January, moving from Hamlin. He worked as a mechanic with Case Equipment Co. in Odessa and was a Baptist.

Survivors include two sons, Joe Willard Jr. of Conroe and Korte Lee of Fort Collins, Colo.; two daughters, Dustree Kay South of Muskogee, Okla., and Rhonda Fay Braly of Spur; a sister, Janie Elizabeth Jones of Hamlin; two stepsisters, Ruby Burk of Miami, Okla., and Georgia Vaden of Wichita Falls; a stepbrother, Lee Morris of Natchez, Miss.; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
