Travis Donald Lee

Rule
Travis Donald Lee, 85, passed away in Rule, Texas, August 4, 2011. Graveside
services will be held at the Rule Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2011 in Rule
with Rev. Russell Stanley officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Smith Family
Funeral Homes.

Donald was born August 14, 1925 in Rule to Carl Chancellor Lee and Ruby Pearl Hines. He
married Laverne Allison in Haskell, Texas on September 8, 1950 and lived in Rule all his life.
He worked as a carpenter, served in the U.S. Army 3rd Battalion from December 1943 to
February of 1946. He was a member of the Methodist Church and The American Legion.

Donald is survived by his wife Laverne Allison Lee; three daughters, Karen Smart and
husband Sid of Rochester, Texas, Valerie Minefee and husband Joe of Midland, Texas,
Julie Petty and husband Rod of Rule, Texas; two sons, Eugene Lee of Midland, Texas,
TerryLee and wife Judy of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Jennifer Smart, Jason Smart and
wife Tamara, Jarred Minefee, Joseph Minefee and wife Brandi, Zeb Petty and Allison Petty;
4 great- grandchildren; sister, Joan Brock of Clyde, Texas, sister-in-law AllethaLee of Camden,
Arkansas and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ruby Lee; 2 brothers, Alfred Lee and Lloyd Lee;
sisters, Dessa Mae Jeter and Christine Morgan.
