Rotan
Tommy Glenn Baker, 70, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2011, in Abilene. Graveside
service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011, in the Belvieu Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home in Rotan.
Born December 26, 1940, in Stamford,
Tommy was a son of the late Jack Nolan and Ruby Estelle (McGrary)
Baker. He married LuDana Rains June 3, 1972, in
Rotan. Tommy was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Lone
Star Transportation as a driver and was a former Dr. Pepper salesman. He
moved to Rotan in 1982 and was a member of the First Baptist
Church in Rotan. Tommy
enjoyed fishing and working in his yard.
Tommy is preceded in death by his parents and wife (LuDana
Rains Baker).
Survivors include three sons, Sammy Baker (and wife, Patti) of Merkel, Emery
Baker of Knox City, and Raymond Baker of Abilene; one daughter, Thelma Baker,
Stamford; two brothers, Robert Baker of Haskell, and Sammy Baker of Stanton;
and seven grandchildren
