Funeral will be at 10am Saturday at First Pentecostal Church in Silsbee with burial at Cunningham Cemetery under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Visitation will begin at 1pm Friday at the funeral home. A lifelong resident of Silsbee, he was a retired carpenter and a World War I US Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Annie Lou Spurlock of Silsbee; sons, Woody Spurlock and Wayne Spurlock, both of Silsbee; daughters, Erma Strother of Town Bluff, Ruth Mae Wiggins and Billie Jean Gibson, both of Silsbee, and Betty Sue Stringer of Evadale; 29 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren. Obituary Beaumont Enterprise Mon, Aug 19, 1957 Page 18 John C Trull, 80 Retired Grocer of Vidor, Dies John Clavin Truss, 80 of 650 Archie St., Vidor, died at 7:55 am yesterday in his home. He was a retired grocer, having been in business in Vidor and in Rose City, and was a resident of this area for 50 years. He was born in Leesville, La. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Dora Truss of Vidor, a sister, Mrs. Lou Spurlock of Silsbee, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm today in the Vidor First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Jones, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Frank Branch Cemetery at Fred, Tex. under direction of the L. M. Williams and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral is pending at Farmer Funeral Home. A native of Silsbee, he was a former Houston resident and had lived in Silsbee six years. He was a salesman for Hobart Manufacturing Co. Survivors include his wife, Marion Truell of Silsbee; two daughters, Rita Brock and Letha Truell, both of Houston; two sons, Richard Truell and William Henry Truell, both of Houston; two sisters, Katherine Barker and Sue Ard, both of Silsbee; and six grandchildren. Beaumont Enterprise, Sunday, Jan 16, 1949 Page 3 Hamp Trull, 67, Dies at Silsbee Home; Rites are Tomorrow Silsbee, Texax, Jan 15 Hamp Trull, 67, died at his home here at noon Saturday. He had recently returned from the John Sealey hospital in galveston. Born and raised in Hardin county, Mr. Truss owned and operated a barbershop until he was stricken ill recently. The funeral cortege will leave the Trull home at 9 am Monday arriving at Franks' Branch church at 10am where services will be held. Rev. WE Standly, Pentecostal minister, will officiate. Burial will be in the Frank's Branch cemetery. Farmer funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Silsbee, Texas June 30. Mrs W.H. Trull 49 of Silsbee died Friday afternoon at a Beaumont hospital of injuries she received in an automobile wreck Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 2 oclock Saturday afternoon from the Estelle York home here. Rev. T.F. McKenzie, pastor of the Central baptist church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Franks Branch cemetery about 12 miles nore of here. Service will be directed by the Farmer Undertaking company. Pallbearers are to be W.K. Moore, John Basby, I.P. Cain, Lewis Coe, J.C. York and Aubrey Busby. Mrs Truss suffered a fractured skull and other injuries when the car in which she was riding crash into a culvert on the Voth road near Beaumont. Survivors are her husband, her son, W.H. Trull Jr., and her daughter, Mrs Katherine Barker, both of Beaumont; a brother, T.H. Burke of Leesville, La., a sister Mrs. S.E. Payne of Silsbee, and the mother, Mrs Emma Davis, Silsbee.
