- I am researching the Keresztury family. There is an Emerich
Keresztury listed s/s Death index from Schertz Guadalupe County born in
the same year as an Emerich (Imre in Hungarian) Keresztury from Butler
Co. Pa. His s/s number is issued in Pa. Any information on Emerich or
his family would be appricated. Thank You

- Searching for grandfather's family in Seguin and/or San Antonio.
JAMES PRESTON HALL born about 1882 in Seguin. Married MARIA RIEUTORD
HAMILTON in Tombstone, Arizona about 1926. Their son, my father, Luis
Rieutord Hamilton-Hall was born 1919 in Douglas, Arizona died 2002 in
Ketchikan, Alaska. Think JOHN JOHNSON HALL 1848-1905 may be JAMES P.
HALL'S grandfather, tho not sure. Anyone with information please
contact me either by posting here or e-mailing me at:

- MORRISON. My family Bible has the birth, marriages, and deaths of
John H. Morrison and his large family, most of whom were born in either
North Carolina or (more probably) in Holmes County, Mississippi. John H
was born 1/18/1778 and died 12/20/1884, in "Pleasant Grove," Morrison
Plantation, Guadalupe County, Texas. His first wife was Elizabeth Baker
(b: 2/23/1802; m: 2/18/1818; d: 2/28/1832). I am trying to track
SHERMAN HENDERSON MORRISON (b:2/2/1829; d: 4/7/1900) from that
marriage. Also, from a second marriage to Mary Ann Overstreet, I am
trying to track JOHN WINGFIELD MORRISON (b: 1/14/1838; d: 10/14/1893.).
My Bible lists wife #1 as Mary Irene Alexander. Wife #2 is listed as
MARY J. COX (b: 9/8/1858; m: 6/11/1869). I was told that Mary Jane Cox
was the older sister of Lucy Anne Elizabeth Cox, who married John
Wingfield's brother, Wellington W. Morrison on 9/12/1876, and which is
listed in my Bible. However, another record shows #2 to be MARY JANE
VICTORIA REESE (2/9/1838 in Natchez; m: 6/11/1869 d :6/4/1917 in Davy,
Byram Ranch, DeWitt County, TX). Her parents were George Reese and Lucy
Collins. I tend to trust the Bible, but more details are included in
the Reese record. But both marriages have the same date and Lucy's
death is recorded in the Bible - not Miss Reese's. Any related material
would be helpful. I will be happy to reply to anyone who can straighten
out my geneological mess! My address is Pat Robie, 58 Sycamore Springs
Way, Mountain Home, AR 72653.

- I am trying to piece together members of the Glaser (may have
been Americanized to Glaeser) family who emigrated from Germany in
1853. Three, possibly four, brothers and their children settled in
Bexar, Kendall and Guadalupe counties. Family members (that I know of)
who settled in Guadalupe county were Ehrenfried Glaser, Friedrich
Glaser, Julius Glaser and (Johanna) Ernestine Glaser. Ernestine may
have married James Martin and later Fred Baumgarten. Birth and death
dates would help tremendously in sorting out these individuals into
their respective families.

- WARD posted by Jim Ward on Tuesday, June 3, 2003
- I live in Tennessee and I am trying to trace my grandfather and
to learn more about him. At present, I know very little about him. Here
is all I have found out. His name is James Ward and he fought in the
Civil War. He spent most of his life in Tennessee. I just found
documents recently that he lived and died in Seguin, Texas in or
arround 1887. Could you please tell me how to go about finding any
information in and around Seguin about him. I am new to this and am
really having a difficult time finding information mainly because I do
not know how to go about it. If you could assist in any way I would
deeply appreciate it. I am 70 years old and plan to drive to Seguin
this summer to search for my grandfather's grave. With your experience,
I am sure you can give me some ideas on how to go about this. Thank you
for your time and consideration.
