Green, Allen J.
Born 1782 in Brunswick Co, VA; Died March 1844 in Anderson, Texas. Buried at Green Cemetery, 5 miles east of Anderson. The United States Daughters of 1812 have erected a bronze marker at his grave. Commissioned as a lieutenant and later as a captain in Georgia 301st Dist, Jones County. He migrated to Grimes County in 1839. His father, James Williams Green was a Revolutionary soldier from Virginia. Submitted by Tammey


Hadley, Joshua
1793-1845. Enlisted in Company H, Lt. Col. Thomas Hinds' Battalion Cavalry, Mississippi Militia. On some rolls from 31 Dec 1814 to 28 Mar 1815. Private in Capt. John J. W. Ross' Company of Dragoons. Received commission as 1st Lieut. on 17 Jul 1816. Submitted by Vickye White

Isbell, Jabez
Died at the age of 75 and is buried at Prairie Plains according to the obituary of his daughter, Martha Lucinda Isbell Bookman.
