Kilgore High School came to the front March 16 to win the Gregg County Interscholastic League meet at Longview over "two class "A" opponents.

The Bulldogs won a total of 61 points, Longview 58 and a half and Gladewater 30 and a half points. To win the meet, Kilgore high won ten first places in athletic events.

White Oak won the class "B" high school championship with 64 points, Sabine being runner-up with 34 points. Kilgore Junior High came in third with 30 points.

Gladewater was first in class "A" junior events with 41 points. Longview was Recond with 5 points. Kilgore did not have any entrants in this division.

The class "B" junior division was won by Longview with 27 points. Sabine was second with 21 points. Kilgore placed third with only four points.

In the ward school division, Kilgore Campus Ward won honors with 35 points. Gladewater with 23 points was second. Kilgore Heights and Spring Hill tied for third place with two and a half points each.

Kilgore High School won the last event-the mile relay-to win the meet. Time was 3.52 minutes.
