Billie June Atchison, 76, was born in a small country home in Graham Chapel, west of Post, Texas to Alton B. and Vera Norman.
Her parents farmed in Garza County. The family moved to New Lynn, Texas in 1936, to Ragtown (Close City), west of Post in 1939 and then to Levelland in 1942 where they opened Norman Photography Studios. She graduated from Levelland High School and then went to work at Levelland State Bank.
She married Hugh Don (Bo) Atchison on Sept. 12, 1947. He preceded her in death on May 12, 1995. Bo and June opened their first jewelry store in 1948 and worked side by side all their lives in the jewelry business. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Levelland.
