We received your letter and card in due time and glad to hear that you got there alright Mildred was sure glad to get the card and wanted to know if the
house on it was the one here on this map. We are sorry to hear that you don't like the place but hope you will like it better after staying there a while.
There is no news here of importance we
have had two big rains and several small ones since you left nearly every body is planting their corn over I will have to plant two pieces over
I have one of old Bucks Brothers planting my corn
he may finish saturday but the worms are cutting it about as fast as it comes up.
Pearlie and her kids got here all right and are here yet Leasy and Myrtle came over last Monday and went back
yesterday all rice farmers are busy planting they have hands at work today building Bridge across the canal on the Dayton road Mildred has come in to tell me to write you that she is well and a going
to be a good girl all the time and wants to send her some more cards and don't forget her while you are gone
I will have to close this for want of some thing to write
