Altha L. DuBose, 84 of Devine passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2009 in Madisonville, TX. She is survived by Sons and daughters-in-law: Edward and Linda Whitwell of Bremond, Robert and Brenda Whitwell of College Station, Daughters and son-in-law: Carolyn and Edwin Guillotte of Iola, Donna Gail Wilkinson of Devine. Brother: Olen Brieden of Yancy, Sisters: Lolite White of Dove Creek, Bernice Cockrell of Corsset, Florence Morris of Devine, Doris Neugebauer of San Antonio. 10 Grandchildren and 14 Great-grandchildren also survive her. She was preceded in deat6h by her first husband James Whitwell; 2nd husband Clyde DuBose; her parents Thomas & Eliza (Gilleaspe) Brieden; one brother Cecil Brieden; 3 sisters Veda Brieden, Ruby Neuman and Thelma Faseler.
Visitation will be held Sunday, May 10, 2009 from 2:00PM until 9:00PM at the Hurley Funeral Home in Devine. Church service will be held Monday, May 11, 2009 at 10:00AM at the Moore Baptist Church with interment to follow at Moore Memorial Cemetery.
