FOSTER
Maebelle Barganier Foster, 81, of Houston died Feb 12 in Houston. Services will be held today (Thursday) 3 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Chapel in Marlin, the Rev. Ken Andress officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
Born May 10, 1908 in Chilton, she attended schools in Lott. She graduated from Texas Women's University in 1930. She married Dell Keesee Foster April 17, 1933 in Marlin. He died May 12, 1983. She was a music teacher in Lott, Marlin and Bremond before moving to Killeen in January of 1960. She taught music in the Killeen Independent School District for 18 years, retiring in 1978.
She formed a musical group in 1966 called "The Unpredictables" which performed for 21 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Killeen.
Survivors include: two daughters, Nancy Louise Smith and Maridelle Crake, both of Houston; a sister, Louise Chapman of Gatesville; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
