FUNERAL SERVICES HELD
FOR WORLD WAR VETERAN

Military Honors Accorded at Grave
by Members of American
Legion

Last rites for J. W. Erwin, of Marlin, world war veteran, were held in the
funeral chapel at 10 o'clock this morning, services being conducted by
Rev. S. D. Dollahite, pastor of the First Baptist church of Marlin.
Selections from the Bible were read by Dr.
W. H. Matthews, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, who paid tribute to
devotion of deceased to his family and his country.
Appropriate hymns were sung by members of
the Baptist choir.
Burial followed in Calvary cemetery,
military honors being accorded
at the grave by members of Falls county post No. 31 American Legion.
Pall bearers were B. C. Segrest, R.
R. Eddins, A. J. Hardin, O. A. Edwards, V. R. Marek, Raymond Barnett, Judge W.
S. Hunnicutt and Terry Dickens.
Out of town relatives in Marlin for the
funeral included Mr. and Mrs. G. D. Holbrook of Ranger, W. M. Erwin and family
of Pampa and Mrs. Annie Burns and daughter of Kosse.
