Funeral Services For Clinton Erskine of Odds Held Thursday

     Funeral services for Clinton Erskine of the Odds Community near Mart, were held this Thursday at Adams Funeral Chapel in Marlin.  Rev. Jack Smith of Groesbeck and Rev. W. V. Bone of Temple officiated with burial in Criswell Cemetery near Marlin.

     Mr. Erskine died at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday in a Marlin hospital.  He was 79.

     He was born in the Odds Community and had farmed in the area during all his adult life.  He was a son of the late John W. Erskine and Sarah Jane Snipes Erskine.

     He married Bessie Mae Criswell on Nov. 28, 1912, at Odds.  Mrs. Erskine died on May 11, 1966.  He was a Methodist.

     Survivors are one son, J. W. Erskine of Waco; one daughter, Mrs. Charlie Harrell of Houston, and three grandchildren.
