Mrs. Ernestine Shaw Edwards

February 1, 1928 - December 16, 1974

     Mrs. Ernestine Shaw Edwards. the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Shaw, was born February 1, 1928 in Highbank, Texas.

     She .attended the Excelsior School in the Zion Hill Community. She accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of the Reverend H. Guy. She served on the Usher Board for several years.

     She was married to Mr. Percy Edwards, who preceded her in death. They were the parents of two sons.

     She departed this life December 16, 1974 and leaves to cherish her memory two sons, James Edwards. Bellville, Texas; Ernest Edwards, Dallas, Texas; one grandchild; one sister, Ms. Beatrice Outley, Marlin, Texas; two aunts. Ms Luella Holloway and Ms. Minnie A. Rowe, Marlin, Texas; her step-mother, Ms. Beatrice Shaw; grandfather. Sam Shaw; two step-brothers, Willie B. Johnson, L. B. Harris, Dallas; one niece, one nephew, -six great-nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
