DEATH OF MISS EASTER.

       After a very brief illness Miss Sulu Easter died Wednesday evening at 7 o'clock, at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Allen.
       Death was caused by pneumonia with other complications.
       Miss Easter was taken ill last Friday and her physician pronounced it very serious from the start.  The malady made rapid progress despite medical administrations and tender nursing.
       Deceased was one of the teachers in the public schools and by her kind and gentle disposition had endeared pupil and patron and all with whom she came in contact.  Her untimely death has caused universal regret to her friends and acquaintances.
       Her was in Hamburg, Ark. and to that place the remains will be taken by her devoted sister who arrived last night.

FUNERAL OF MISS EASTER

       The remains of Miss Sulu Easter were consigned to Hamburg, Ark., on Thursday at 3 o'clock via the I. & G. N.
       Funeral services were held at Mr. and Mrs. Allen's by Rev. J. A. Montgomery of the Presbyterian church.
       The funeral was attended by a very large crowd of friends of the deceased lady and it was one of the saddest funerals that has ever occurred in Marlin.
       The remains were accompanied by her sister who arrived at 11:34 Wednesday night.  Capt. Martin and Misses Mebane and Nettles went to Lewis Junction with the grief stricken sister.
       There were many rare floral tokens of esteem placed on the coffin at the funeral.
