Clara Jane Bassel Darden
January 12, 1931 – September 16, 2007

     Clara Jane Bassel Darden, 76, of Temple, died Sunday, September 16, 2007, in a Temple nursing home.

     Services were held Wednesday at the Harper-Talasek Funeral Chapel in Temple with Chaplain Eric Hammer officiating. Interment was in the North Belton Cemetery.

     Mrs. Darden was born January 12, 1931 to the late Paul M. and Elizabeth Ximinia Potts Bassel in Temple. She was married to Roy L. Darden of Temple for over 56 years. She was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church of Belton.

     Mrs. Darden is survived by her husband, Roy L. Darden of Temple; sons, Roy B. Darden and wife Nancy of Rosebud, and Paul A. Darden and wife, René of Belton; daughter, Betsy Wright and husband, Tom of Winter Haven, FL; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
