Durwood Davenport
March 4, 1944 – September 11, 2007

     Durwood Davenport, 63, of Waco, died Tuesday, September 11, 2007, in a Waco hospital.

     Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday, September 15, at St. Louis Catholic Church with Father David Leibham as celebrant. Burial was held in Bosqueville Cemetery.

     A rosary was recited Friday evening at Oak Crest Funeral in Waco.

     Mr. Davenport was born March 4, 1944 in Rosebud to Virgil and Velma (Burgess) Davenport. He married Betty Morris June 6, 1964 in Marlin. Davenport was an insurance agent for many years with the American National Insurance Company before retirement.

     He is survived by his wife, Betty Davenport of Waco; a son, Michael Davenport of Waco; daughters, Carolyn Swor and husband, Allen of Waco, and Elizabeth Busch and husband, Thomas of China Spring; nine grandchildren; and a brother, Harold Davenport of Marlin.
