MRS. LENOX'S FATHER DEAD
AT QUITMAN

John Durr of Quitman, Texas, father of Mrs. Asbury Lenox of Marlin, died Saturday morning, Dec. 22, in the Veterans Hospital at Shreveport, La.  Mrs. Lenox is the wife of the pastor of the First Methodist Church of Marlin.

The Marlin couple left early Friday to go to Quitman and were at the bedside of Mr. Durr when he died.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the First Methodist Church at Quitman.

Surviving are his widow, two daughters including Mrs. Lenox, and two sons.  Both the sons are Methodist ministers and the other daughter, like Mrs. Lenox, is married to a Methodist minister.

Mr. and Mrs. Durr visited in the Lenox in Marlin this past Thanksgiving.
