The Negro County Agriculture Council completed a 2 ½ days landscaping demonstration held at the Falconer-Stamps Library, February 22-24th.  The demonstration was used to show landscaping methods for public buildings, rural churches, schools and farm homes.

            The features reviewed were soils, slope and ground condition, drainage, arrangement of flowers, selection of shrubs, equipment.  Equipment used was primarily tools found on the average farm.  E. L. Pannell and B. G. Randolph assisted the Negro County Agent H. E. Hill in the demonstration.

            Negro agriculture teacher Thurman Dorsey of Lott and Alton Scott of Marlin with four and 15 NFA Boys respectively were in attendance.  The community sponsors for the program were: John Brawley, Alex Washington, Spring Hill; Kermit Griffin, Rocky Valley; B. G. Randolph, Cedar Valley; J. Lynn, Highbank; E. L. Pannell, Robert Steward, Wollie Murphy, Roy Laventon, Rose Newton, Elijah Lockridge, Fish Creek.
