MOOREVILLE PROGRAM HAS LARGE CROWD THURSDAY NITE

A capacity crowd filled the Mooreville school auditorium Thursday night to

witness a stunt night program as sponsored by the ladies organization of the

Mooreville Methodist church.

Casts of entertainers from five nearby communities presented a diversified

program which were judged for first and second places, while the Mooreville

ladies entertained with a responding art that was not in the contest.

First place award went to the ladies of the Lone Star Baptist Church and the

Lott Methodist Church ladies for their humorous automobile trip act. Second

award went to the Chilton Methodist Church WSCS group for their comedy

pantomine act.

Other acts appearing on the evening program included a two part performance

of a reading and vocal duets from the Rosenthal church. The Lorena church

program was entitled, Romance In The Park. The Eddy ladies presented an act

to depict ways that organization meetings are conducted to cause a loss of

interest.

The Mooreville ladies program was a comedy act entitled, Monkeyshines In A

Doctor's Office. Before and after the program the ladies served sandwiches,

pies, coffee and cold drinks to the patrons. James Curry was the emcee for

the stunt night program and Mrs. Ben Newman thanked the performers for their

presentations and the guests for their patronage at the close of the evening

entertainment.
