                     MR. AND MRS. J. F. REESE AT ROSEBUD OBSERVE THEIR

                                           53^RD WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

            Mr. & Mrs. J. F. Reese at Rosebud observed their 53^rd wedding anniversary on February 17^th with an open house during the afternoon for relatives and friends.

            The couple were married February 17, 1897, when Miss Mary Ann Walston was married to James Franklin Reese at the of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Walston at Boston, Texas, in Bowie county.  The couple moved to the Rosebud area in 1910 and have resided there ever since.

            Their daughter, Mrs. Vassie Moseley, and Mrs. Jack Sweeten received the guests as they arrived, and were assisted by Mrs. Clarence Hoelscher at the refreshment service of punch and cake, served from a lace covered table centered with an arrangement of golden-hued spring flowers presented the honored couple by Mrs. J. M. Ligon.
