SCHOOL GOLFERS LOOKING
TOWARD DISTRICT CONTEST

Marlin High School's golf team of six boys, coached by Hal Spencer, is practicing daily on the County Club links, and will enter a district meeting in April.

The teams is composed of Steve Smith, Ross Streator, Charles Rush, James Earl Price, Jerry Hamerick and Bobby Langford.

The team recently engaged in an inter-school match at Waxahachie.  The next scheduled match will take the team to Lampasas, to take part in the annual Lion's Club tourney in that city.

The matches the team is playing now are preliminary to the district meeting play in April.  Winners in district competition play next in regional contests, then state.
