                                 MARLIN AND WESTPHALIA DELEGATES

                             AT CATHOLIC COUNCIL  MEETING SUNDAY

            The Austin Diocesan National Catholic Council Women’s Board meeting was held in Cameron on Sunday.  The President, Mrs. Norma Rankin of Austin, presided. Church leaders present were: Rev. S. A. Zientek, of LaGrange, Diocesan Moderator; Rev. Francis Sullivan, Austin District Moderator; Rev. George Duda, Cameron District Moderator; Very Rev. John J. Kearns, Waco District Moderator.

            Plans were discussed for the Diocesan Convention to be held during October.  Several board vacancies were filled during the Cameron meeting, the ladies of the host church served refreshments to the guests.

            Those attending from the Waco District were Mrs. Henry Beach of Westphalia, Diocesan Welfare Chairman; Mrs. J. M. McDowell, parliamentarian, and Mrs. R. P. Hollaran, endowment fund chairman, both of Waco; Mrs. R. E. Portele, Diocesan Vice President, Marlin.
