EX-SERVICE MEN ALL SET
FOR FISHFRY ON BRAZOS

Arrangements Complete For Event
on Banks of River at Mouth of
Deer Creek

Ex-service men were all set today for their annual fishfry on the Brazos river at the mouth of Deer Creek Friday at noon.  The site is on the H. O. Barganier place, entrance to which has been arranged on the south side of the highway just west of the Brazos.

This event, initiated a number of years ago by former members of Company F. Third Texas infantry, the National Guard outfit that went ouf of Marlin to the world war, for all ex-service men, has been held heretofore on July 4.  However, due to Independence Day failing on Saturday this year, it was decided to hold the fishfry on the preceding Friday in order that a larger numbr might attend.

The event annually attracts numerous former service men from points outside of Falls county as well as from over the county generally, and this year is expected to prove no exception in that respect, a number of acceptances from points out of the county being included in the large number advising that they will attend
