SHOT in BRAZOS COUNTY

Negro Whose Fine Victim Paid at
Bryan Being Sought
by Officers.

       Tom Webb, Marlin negro, was reported found shot near Bryan in a message from the Brazos county sheriff to City Marshal Walston of Marlin Tuesday night.
       Officers were reported seeking a negro who had been held in jail at Bryan and whose fine Webb was said to have paid Tuesday afternoon, after which, the two, it was stated, left in a car in company with a negro woman.
       Webb was taken to the of his mother at Hearne where he ws reported in a serious condition Tuesday night.
       Webb's wife was reported tohave left Marlin Tuesday night for Hearne on being advised of the shooting.
