AUGUST 1 LAST DATE FOR
SCHOLASTIC TRANSFERS
Falls County Superintendent's Office
Won't be Closed as Announced.
The plan has been abandoned to close the Falls county superintendent'soffice the
first five days of next week in order that Miss Lois Souther, county
superintendent, and Miss Tallulah Holloway, county attendance officer, might
attend sessions of the annual Texas county superintendent's conference featuring
the 1931 Farmers Short Course at A. and M. College of Texas.
This announcement was made Thursday afternoon by Miss Souther in Marlin on a
brief visit from College Station where she has been taking a three-week special
course at A. and M. College.
Next week will be the last opportunity for making scholastic transfers, final
date for which is August 1, and the office will be open every day and not closed
as previously announced, Miss Souther explained.
